Food Service

Food Service Supervisor Gail Reoch discussed ways of cutting costs in the food service program. Food costs have increased dramatically. The increased cost of health insurance has also been hard on the budget. The breakfast program is costly to operate, so food choices will probably have to be limited.

Kitchen Facilities

Discussion was held regarding the kitchen facilities at Valley View Elementary and Bonners Ferry High School. Both buildings need changes in order to be more efficient. At Valley View, the cafeteria needs to be closer to the kitchen. The high school needs a mixer, a three way sink and a storage area needs to be built outside.

Cell Phone Ban

Discussion was held regarding cell phones and policy. No decision was made.

Executive Session – None held.

No decisions were made at the workshop.

9:47 Tim Bertling moved to adjourn. Gil Hagen seconded. Motion carried.
